Anyone use one of these . Is it worth paying an extra £50 for the paperwhite?

I've got a kindle fire.
I have read hundreds of books on it which I would not have read normally. you can be on the net and somebody recommends a book. and a couple of minutes later you can be reading it.
One of the best things I have ever bought

Mrs Chip Shop likes the backlight cos I can continue to read after she goes to sleep without needing a reading light....and yes, we still sleep in the same bed after 30+ years together (sorry, no link)

Kindle Fire are bad fir reading on as they sufger from glare.
Kindles are great if you read a lot. Paperwhite only worth it if you want to read in low light without another artificial light source, but they are slimmer.
Depends how much you value that 50 quid I guess

Paperwhite every day. The backlight is excellent, no need for a reading light.

I upgraded to a paperwhite one before holiday this year as my old one finally died. Absolutely worth the upgrade

Why not buy one of the Amazon Fire tablets if you are just reading on it? The new 7 inch with Alexa is £49.99. Plus it probably does more as it's a tablet!
You know you need an extra 7 inches in your life!
